As a long-time fan of Justin Bieber, I can attest that once you catch Bieber Fever, there is simply no cure. When I was in 4th grade, I remember kids on the playground making fun of Justin Bieber, quoting lyrics from his #1 hit “Baby.” I jumped on the bandwagon (to avoid 10-year-old ridicule) but secretly loved the song. My teenage older sister and her friends were the biggest Justin Bieber fans, so I was exposed early on and was mesmerized by his talent and voice. I truly think the “Never Say Never” concert documentary changed my life. To this day, it is my sick day movie, and I watch it whenever I stay home sick in bed. It is my ultimate comfort watch! Oh, to go back and be a 15-year-old girl in 2010 at the Justin Bieber My World Tour!!!
All this to say, I have my credentials in Bieber Fever– so believe me when I say that Justin’s recent Coachella set (April 2026) did NOT disappoint.
In the last 16 years, Justin Bieber has been through it. He has constantly been in the public eye for one scandal and the next, his dating life, and of course, his 8 studio albums. He has been under constant criticism his entire adult life, so it was so refreshing to see him return to the stage so happy! Justin and his wife, Hailey Bieber, welcomed their first son, Jack, in 2024, and he has been thriving ever since. He released his latest album, “SWAG,” in 2025 and has now made his return to performing via the Coachella mainstage.Â
Fans have been anticipating this Coachella performance for months, dubbing the iconic music festival “Bieberchella.” As with any long-anticipated production, the internet has so many thoughts. For his performance, Justin played mostly songs from his new album, just walking around a basic stage and even sitting on a stool for some songs. However, the most talked about part of his performance was the brief section in which he honored many of his old hits. Justin sat on a stool while pulling up YouTube videos of his old songs, essentially doing karaoke with his younger self. Personally, I loved it and thought it was a funny and efficient way to listen to a snippet of many of his older songs. But many people felt it was lazy and not his best performance. And while I honestly see both sides (it was definitely not his best performance), I really did just love seeing how happy he is to be performing these songs again and showing the world how good and healthy he is!Â
Seeing Justin come back and perform many of his new songs live for the first time has brought back my Bieber Fever more than ever! I truly just love him and can’t wait to be 60 years old, going to his greatest hits tour someday. Beliebers 4evah! 💜
