10 Things We Learned From Blair Waldorf

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SPU chapter.

The cold hearted, yet loyal friend from the Upper East Side is notoriously known for her chic style, witty remarks and love/hate relationship with Chuck Bass. Through the six seasons of Gossip Girl, Blair Waldorf taught us many important life lessons on style, love and getting what you want. There is a reason everyone calls her Queen B.

  1. Don’t settle for anything other than the best

  1. Don’t give up on the one you love

We all followed Blair and Chuck’s relationship closely, often times rooting for Blair and against Chuck. But as their romance progressed, Blair teaches us that she never truly gave up on him, no matter what.

  1. Brunch and mimosas are always a good idea

She once said “Here’s my advice: have a little faith, and if that doesn’t work, have a lot of mimosa”.

  1. Always look chic no matter what you are doing

Blair managed to always look stylish, even when she just woke up. After all, you never know if your enemy will make a surprise visit. Dress to kill, am I right, Blair?

  1. The power of fashion

Enough said.

  1. Your best friend will stick by your side no matter what

Blair and Serena fought all the time, yet they proved that they had each other’s back no matter what. They were the original #squadgoals.

  1. Loyalty means everything

I think we all want a Dorota in our life. She was a loyal companion to Blair and had a great sense of humor. Remember when we thought she was gossip girl?

  1. Believe in yourself or else no one else will

  1. Be a #GIRLBOSS

  1. Macarons fix everything

In true Blair form, she would never admit defeat. Instead, she would indulge in a box of Laduree macrons and then begin to plot revenge.
