Ever wonder who’s writing the Collegiette savy content for Her Campus Southern Miss? Meet Ashley Simon, a contributing writer and junior studying entertainment industry production at The University of Southern Mississippi. Simon, originally from Madison, Miss., shares personal aspirations and random tidbits. 

HC: Where would you like to live when you graduate college?
Ashley: Georgia or Florida
 
HC: If you could do anything in the world and not have to pay for it what would you do?
Ashley: I’d travel to Africa.
 
HC: Where can someone most likely find you on campus?
Ashley: In Southern Hall or the Performance Art Center

 

HC: What is one interesting thing about you most people do not know?
Ashley: I have a lot of ideas about the music industry…
 
HC: If you could pick a celebrity to be your partner in crime who would it be?
Ashley: Chris Brown
 
HC: What are some things that you like to do in your spare time? 
Ashley: Work on music, writing articles, watch movies

 

HC: How many brothers and sisters do you have?
Ashley: Two older brothers and one older sister
 
HC: What is your favorite sport at Southern Miss?
Ashley: Basketball
 
HC: If it was one thing you could change what would it be and why?
Ashley: I would like to change the way I’m not patient because I know that it’s important to be patient.

Kaisha Brown is a sophomore at the University of Southern Mississippi. She is a Journalism major with emphasis in Public Relations. She is a native of Oma, Mississippi where she attended Lawrence County High School. She is also a member of Relay for Life and the Baptist Student Union. In her free time she loves to write, text, read, play sports, and watch movies. She is outgoing, kind, outspoken, very driven and loves to spend time with her family and friends.

Crystal Garner is a sophomore at the University of Southern Mississippi studying Broadcast Journalism and Computer Science. She is the Campus Correspondent and Editor-In-Chief for the Southern Miss Chapter of HerCampus.com, the on-air host of Southern Miss Today at WUSM 88.5, a Campus Editor at Uloop.com, a former English TV/Africa production intern at Voice of America, and an ambassor for Freshmansupport.com. She enjoys writing, reporting, and traveling. Her work has been publish by USA TODAY, Huffington Post, Uloop.com, and local newspapers in her hometown of Meridian, Miss.
