It’s eight in the morning and the alarm goes off. If this was the summer, that wouldn’t be something I’d be excited for, but lucky for us we’re back in Cola. Now waking up early on Saturday means I get to go to one of my favorite places. Just down Main Street holds a never-ending array of food, culture, and entertainment. The street is brought to life with amazing booths housing venders from all across the city and even state, a truly great way to spend your Saturday morning.

There’s all types of foods from around the world, as well as amazing handmade items sold by local vendors, you can truly find just about anything at the Soda City Market. It’s no wonder every weekend my bank account serves as a jump-scare when I return home with a massive haul of goodies. Every weekend brings something different, the never-ending variety in booths promises you’ll never be bored. There’s a little something for everyone at Soda City, but I can guarantee you that the ritual is genuinely loved by all.

I’ve learned in life that flowers are a way to anyone’s heart. As kids, we grow up picking what we think are flowers, but are really just weeds. We give flowers on any special occasion, and it’s all because they make you feel special. All of your problems go away after getting a gorgeous bouquet of beautifully smelling flowers. When I say that I go to Soda City, I’m picturing the booth with the fresh flowers. I can’t wait to go home and put it in a makeshift vase until they start to wilt and I get to do it all over again!

You never know what someone is going through when you pass them at the market, but you do see the smiles that light their faces as they pass those vibrant bouquets. Flowers are for all who deserve a little something special in their lives. Whether you are going through something or not, you should stop by those booths just to see someone else’s day get a bit brighter!
