As many of y’all know, our first home game was on Saturday the 12th of September against the University of Kentucky, and it didn’t go so well. Kentucky beat us 26-22.
But losing never brings down the excitement of game days, so everyone was back and ready to rally for this past Saturday’s game against the University of Central Florida
Because football is such a big event down here, you’ll find everyone wearing garnet and black, partying at tailgates and cheering on the Gamecocks. It’s crazy how excited everyone gets for home games!
And what do you know, we actually won this time! The Gamcocks beat the UCF Knights 31-14. Although it was a noon game and festivities started early, the energy continued all throughout night, when people started heading down to Five Points.
It’s still fairly early in the season, which (hopefully) leaves plenty of more games for the Cocks to win!
