Blue Wine is the New Pink Wine

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at South Carolina chapter.

You can throw the debate of red versus white wine in the past, along with the people on the fence who choose pink, because there’s a new sheriff in town… and she’s blue.

Through innovation of food technology, the colors and flavors of various Spanish and French grapes have been altered to create a vibrant blue tint. Don’t worry, this isn’t some crazy GMO stunt, the color actually comes from two organic pigments found in the skin of the white and red grapes used: indigo and anthocyanin. Gïk, the creator of the wine, chose the color blue as it represents movement, innovation and infinity… but did we also mention it’s sweeter and easier to drink? Hi yes, we’d like to place an order for a thousand bottles please!
