6 Things To Do Before Graduating in December

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at South Carolina chapter.

Maybe you’re graduating a semester early, or maybe you’re graduating a semester late. Either way, December ’17 is approaching fast. Who knew time would go by this quick? It’s time to get ready for a new chapter in your life and say goodbye to USC. So here’s a list of a few things everyone should do in their last fall semester at Carolina.

1. Jump in the fountain at T. Coop

So this is technically not allowed. But, hey, you can’t deny that in your years as a Gamecock you’ve always kind of wanted to. Now that you’re almost done, here’s your chance!

2. Have one last night out in Five Points

Chances are your hometown bar scene isn’t as affordable (or as fun!) as Five Points. Now’s the time to have one last ~wild~ night out as a college student before you have to become a “real adult” and stop dancing on tables.

3. People watch on the Horseshoe

The Horseshoe is one of the most scenic spots on campus. It’s especially pretty during the fall. Grab your books and a blanket and take advantage of the nice and crisp weather.

4. Get a picture with the new Cocky statue

Bonus points if you’re in your cap and gown!

5. Watch the sunset from the top of a parking garage

You’ve probably seen about a million snaps and Instagrams of the Columbia skyline at sunset but it’s really something you have to experience for yourself. The parking garages offer some of the best views of the city!

6. Go to the Clemson game (or at least tailgate!)

Every USC student should experience this game at least once. It’s one of the biggest rivalries in the southeast and arguably the most exciting event of fall at USC. If you can’t get a ticket, the tailgate is always a party!

Leaving USC will definitely be hard, so make sure to appreciate the little things while you still can!
