Your SMU Panhellenic Sorority Cheat Sheet

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SMU chapter.

When I went through Recruitment at SMU, I was hella #stressed. I had no idea what I was in for, had no idea what each sorority stood for and I’m pretty sure I stressed out my Rho Gammas with my frantic questions. I literally had no idea what I was doing. I didn’t even know that the sorority girls chant (imagine how freaked out I was when all of a sudden a hundred women leapt out to cheer). Recruitment can definitely feel very “dog eat dog,” especially with girls who feel like they know anything and everything about each chapter and have already decided where they think they are going to go. Each sorority is very different, and there are things you might want to know before going through recruitment. I present to you your SMU Panhellenic Sorority Cheat Sheet.
