This year Thanksgiving is going to look a little different. Less people are going to travel home from school, due to Covid-19 restrictions, but that doesn’t mean Thanksgiving can’t still be  a fun holiday! Here are some tips for a fun Friendsgiving you can have!

Cook Food You Actually Like

Thanksgiving typically means cooking things like turkey and pumpkin pie- but that doesn’t mean everyone likes that stuff! Talk as a group and figure out what you actually like to make and make that- it doesn’t have to be traditional Thanksgiving food!

Decorate!

Having a Friendsgiving in your apartment doesn’t mean you can’t make it special. Head to Target or Dollar Tree and pick out some inexpensive holiday decorations to make your everyday kitchen special for the holiday!

Put Your Electronics Away

Thanksgiving is about coming together and spending quality time with the ones you love, and what better way to do that than to spend actual time with them. Put away your phones for a couple hours and you’ll definitely be better for it!

Don’t Have One Person Cook Everything

By having multiple people come together and cook, or by doing a potluck type meal, it can allow everyone to have a fun time without getting stressed. Pro Tip: You can cook in the few days before Thanksgiving and reheat dishes if you don’t have enough time to cook everything on the day of!

Have Plenty of Dessert!

Okay, so this one is more of my personal preference, but I think that no holiday is complete without plenty of dessert for everyone!

I hope that you will be able to find some fun tips for your Friendsgiving this year! Happy Holidays!
