Exam season is approaching, which means stress, tests and tears. It also means going home, hopefully to some home-cooked meals. My mom makes the best food, but there are a few favorites I crave, especially in times of stress. Here are a few of my guilty pleasur foods!

Grilled Cheese

Nothing slaps harder that a sandwich that you didn’t have to make yourself. A classic grilled cheese always hits the spot after a busy exam cram session.

Hot Chocolate

This might not be a food, but this drink always puts me in a good mood. There’s not many things better than dunking marshmellows in a steaming cup of hot chocolate.

Chocolate Chip Cookies

My mother has the best secret recipe for chocolate chip cookies and I love to make them with her. I am VERY guilty of sneaking bits of cookie dough as well.

French Toast

Breakfast food warms the soul and who doesn’t love a good french toast. My mom adds cinnamon to the batter to give it a little extra flavor and it is so yummy!

Mac and Cheese

A warm bowl full of mac and cheese never fails to put a smile on my face. This comfort meal is always such a mood lifter after a stressful exam.

Hope these foods help combat your exam stress. Winter break is coming soon, so goodbye dining hall food!
