1. The Pool:
The Pool is one of the single greatest things about the Backyard Beach Bar. Although walking by guarantees you to be thrown in, it’s always the best part. Not only are you instantly cooled down by the beating sun, you can lay on the giant inflatable raft and get a tan. The real entertainment comes at the end of the party when the water is a murky brown and the lost and found happens to be at the bottom of the pool. Items recently found include credit cards, David Yurman rings and Ray Bans so the pool ends up being a pot of gold by the end of the day.

 2. The Tiki Bars:
The numerous tiki bars spread out around the entire venue are a lazy boy’s dream. Instead of having to walk all the way around the pool, the tiki bartender will quickly serve you a beer because with all the different bars, the crowd is minimized. Not only do these bars always seem to be within reach, the Flash photographer also tends to be behind you at all times. Flash never fails to capture the party goers finest moments which offers amusement to all the following day.

3.  The Volleyball Court
The party goers at Backyard Beach Bar are not typically known for their athletic abilities. Therefore, the volleyball court serves as a sand pit for those who want to try their luck at the slip n’ slide or to simply get away from the crowd and chat. There is something entertaining for everyone in the sand pit but those on the outside find it particularly hilarious to watch people realize half way in that the sand is burning hot. As a result, to get from point A to point B you must run. This usually ends with a mad dash across the sand and a full drink becoming an empty drink as it sloshes over the rim.

4.  The Waterfall:
Not only is the waterfall a nice touch of scenery, it offers entertainment for the adventurous party goer who is brave enough to jump off into the small pool and stupid enough to think their swim suit is properly placed when they reach the surface. This is especially entertaining for those enjoying their beers on the ledge of the pool who are usually too drunk to even notice a girl’s top has fallen enough after the plunge. But in the end there are no hard feelings because she doesn’t realize it and neither do you.

5. The Indoor Lounge
Although there is a conveniently located pool in the middle of the venue, sometimes it just isn’t enough for a proper cool down. The perfectly air conditioned indoor lounge is equipped with large flat screen TV’s, tables and couches ideal for watching SMU football during an away game. The lounge is also close to the bar where the party goer can see the super cheesy pizzas being put out to know when they are fresh.
