Finally, fall break is around the corner and we all know that the well-deserved long weekend has been highlighted, starred, and doodled around in our planners for the past two weeks, beaming as our shining light of hope through midterms.

Whether or not you’re staying in Dallas or jet setting to Vegas, fall break is a perfect escape from the stressors of school. Most freshmen take the opportunity to fly home to get used to the double life they are about to have between their hometowns and their growing love for Dallas. Sophomores and juniors vary between cozying up in their newly decorated apartments and flying home for mom and dad’s cooking, while seniors take the extra two days to celebrate. If you’re going home, make sure to chow down on the food from your favorite restaurants and take advantage of your deluxe home amenities. Nothing beats clean sheets and the comfort of home. If you have high school friends that go to a college nearby, make sure to check out their social scene, just for the pure satisfaction that you get to brag about our noteworthy nightlife, as acclaimed in Playboy.

Rules for travel seem particularly simple. Make sure not to forget the essentials – underwear, phone charger, and your go to little black dress. Most importantly, have a spontaneous attitude. Leaving behind your worries and anxious tendencies are crucial to your happiness level during vacation.
