Can you share some details with us about boohoo as a brand? How did you become a part of the STYLE SQUAD, and what does your position entail?
“boohoo is a global online fashion retailer. boohoo represents the stylish and social lifestyle of our generation with new trends and lines added to the site every week. It’s unique, fun and never boring! I love everything fashion, and there aren’t many outlets within the world of political science to express that. I found out about this new program that boohoo was starting, and that SMU was one of the 15 or so schools included in the program. I immediately was interested, applied and have been able to be a part of this new and unique experience! My position (as the PR/Events Manager) works with the Social Media/Marketing Manager to run our social media accounts on Facebook and Instagram. I plan and execute one on-campus event per semester, and I coordinate giveaways and promotions!”
What are your thoughts on SMU campus style?
“SMU campus style is unlike most college campuses, which I love. Our campus is always filled with students dressed to impress, and one thing I learned quickly was that you can never be overdressed at SMU.”
What’s your favorite part of being a student at SMU?
“I don’t think I can narrow it down to one thing because there are so many great things about this school. One of my favorite things about SMU is that I am always surrounded by others who appreciate fashion and style, and I am constantly inspired by my fellow students.”
What sort of events are you planning for this semester?
“We have an event coming up that I’m so excited about! We are still planning it, but the theme is going to be a Girls Night Out! I don’t want to give away too many details right now, but you can follow us on social media for more details and posts closer to the date! Our Instagram is @smuboohoo, and our Facebook page is boohoo STYLE SQUAD Southern Methodist University!”
