7 Shows and Movies That Netflix Must Bring Back ASAP

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SMU chapter.

Over the past couple of months, Netflix has stopped streaming many classic movies and TV shows. While they have also been adding more of their hilarious and unqiue originals, some days all we want is a little 80s and 90s Hollywood movie magic or to search for our next soap opera addiction. Here is a list, which is definitely not definite because there are hundreds of other titles we could have chosen from, of movies and TV shows that we are begging Netflix to add back to their collection!

1. Clueless

This is one of the most favored movies of all times, and it is no longer within the reach of our Netflix subscription. We are totally buggin’ about this development.

2. Legally Blonde

Another classic girl’s night favorite, erased from Netflix’s collection. I don’t know what we are going to do without the empowering words of Elle Woods in our lives.

3. Buffy the Vampire Slayer

While this is a cult favorite, and not on everyone’s radar, it is tragic that Netflix decided to take it away from its admiring fans. Buffy was always there for us with her wit and sass, while also making slaying look easy.

4. Downton Abbey

This PBS treasure was never on Netflix, but it should have been–nuff said.

5. Alias

Pardon my love for 90s and 2000s TV shows, but they were the golden years of television. For those of you who don’t know Alias, it is a show about a top secret spy (Jennifer Garner) who finds out she’s been working for the bad guys, and becomes a double agent–all while hiding her secret life from her best friend, played by Bradely Cooper. What more could we ask for in a show?

6. Ferris Bueller’s Day Off

Another movie night classic, gone from our Netflix selection, it is truely tragic. Our movie nights will never be the same without Ferris and his friends’ antics on their wild day of skipping school.

7. Grand Hotel

This show is the Spanish answer to Downton Abbey, and it is was my guilty pleasure. But, now my soap opera binge is left unsatisfied.

We love you Netflix, but please bring back our beloved shows!
