3 Must-try Starbucks holiday drinks

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SMU chapter.

Starbucks recently brought back their holiday concoctions in signature bright red cups. Now that it’s time to transition from our beloved Pumpkin Spiced Latte to more festive drinks, the following list is three must-try drinks from this year’s Starbucks holiday drink list.

1. Peppermint Mocha

This classic mocha has a yummy twist with peppermint syrup added to the mix, topped with whipped cream and red sprinkles. If you love candy canes and hot chocolate, then this adult version will surely satisfy your taste buds.

2. Gingerbread Latte

Why make gingerbread cookies this year when you can drink it? The proclaimed “Starbucks Christmas Classic” serves a fresh latte with a couple of shots of gingerbread syrup topped with whipped cream and nutmeg for a warm, spiced blend that will warm up your soul.

3. Chestnut Praline Latte

The Christmas Song and its lyrics, “chestnuts roasting on an open fire” clearly inspired Starbucks to create this holiday drink as it is one of the only holiday coffees to include this glossy, brown nut. This drink includes a chestnut-infused chocolate flavor in espresso with steamed milk, topped with whipped cream. For any fans of the song or a nutty drink with a bite, this will definitely satisfy.
