It’s that time of the year again when school work becomes impossible to get done thinking about the closeness of summer. The month of April is the biggest test of how dedicated one is to being a college student in the presence of warm weather, outdoor activities, and knowing summer is so close. I feel as though every college student knows the struggle in trying to stay motivated and get good grades, but also balancing a social life by having fun with their friends as the warm weather becomes so beautiful. The debate we have with ourselves of going to class when it is 70 degrees out or playing frisbee or other games out in the quad is the biggest struggle. With P-Day last weekend and Derby Day only being a week away it is challenging to focus our minds on school and classes when all we want to do is be outside and have fun with our friends for the last two weekends of college before summer begins. We can all do this together and motivate each other to get through our final papers, group projects, tests, and final exams. With only one and half weeks left of classes it becomes surreal that the year is already almost over. Time is flying by so quickly and we must create a balance in college of working hard but also having fun with the people around us. I hope everybody enjoys their last few weeks here of the year at Saint Michael’s and powers through all of their work. Soon we will all be moving out and traveling home to our next adventures of the summer whether that may be having a job, internship, or traveling the world. These last few weeks are filled with fun events, but don’t forget that our grades still matter in these last few weeks! Keep trying everyone, summer is only two weeks away!
