Personal style is something everyone has, so why lose that style when dressing up for work?  We’re here to say that you can throw away that pencil skirt and your mom’s kitten heels and rock something a little more styling than stale.

If you’re an intern, office-worker, working in retail or just filing all day in a cubicle, you shouldn’t let your job define your style.  You can still add in fun pieces that are symbolic of your personality without being over-glammed or looking like a professional file-clerk.

The best way to add in style is with statement jewelry or a printed item.  That doesn’t mean whip out a tribal mini-skirt because let’s be honest, we all know that’s not appropriate for the workplace, but you can still have fun with your outfits without letting the daily grind  of your workplace affect your style.

Throw on your favorite shirt, or that fur vest you’ve been dying to wear, but keep it simple.  Don’t get dolled up for a night on the town, and don’t look like you just borrowed your mom’s black slacks to fit in with an older crowd.  We are young, vibrant women and should dressing for ourselves every day.

Go on, collegiettes! Grab your favorite pair of heels or those tartan pants that you haven’t worn yet and play while you work.  What would work be without a little fun?
