Even though autumn began nearly a month ago, the season has really begun to show itself; leaves are dropping faster than our GPA’s, noses are running more than our legs, and sandals are definitely out of style. Luckily, as sandals are left behind, waiting to accompany temperatures above 60 degrees, the most diverse collection of shoes will step up to make their seasonal statements. Here are some kicks we’re excited to see this fall!

Bean Boots

Although Bean Boots were originally used for duck hunting and wading through marshes, these rubber soles can protect against soggy toes here on campus too! The morning dew and scattered puddles can be awfully treacherous this time of year, so don’t hesitate to throw these babies on before taking on your day!

Timberlands

If North West can, anyone can! Timbs have made their way into the female fashion world over the past couple years and we’ve never been more excited. All of a sudden, it became acceptable to wear work boots without doing any work. From Bob the Builder to Kendall Jenner, feel free to idolize whoever you please!

Combat Boots

Pair them with jeans, leggings, or even a casual dress and you’ll look like a dime every time. These mid calf boots go with anything and everything, so break out your inner G.I. Jane and lace up!

Knee-Highs

May they lace, zip, or button, you really can’t go wrong with a pair of tall boots. Close your eyes and just picture Beyonce performing on stage. She was wearing knee-highs, wasn’t she? Bey is all about the leather boots and if that doesn’t give you reason to wear these, then I’m not sure what will.

UGGs

It might seem a little early to reintroduce the fur lining, but UGGs go great with fall foliage. Tell your cold-blooded friends, whose body temperatures seem to change with that of the environment, that it is totally acceptable to keep their toes toasty even if it hasn’t snowed yet!

Birkenstocks

Although Birks are sandals, remember that we live in Vermont. It will never not be Birk season. It’s the only sandal that can withstand it all and, after slight alterations, are able to be worn all year round. It is just about time to loosen those straps in order to fit a warm, wool sock inside!
