It’s that time of year again! Spring semester is drawing to a close, with Finals Week just two weeks away and summer right around the corner. While we all should be studying, we’re really envisioning long days spent in the sun and what we’re going to do with all our free time. Aside from the typical summer job, summer presents us with endless amounts of time spent filled with family, friends, and fun. However, in among that free time, boredom will likely be setting in at some point. Who can truly save you when you just can’t find anything to do? Netflix. Here, to abate said boredom, is a list of the best TV shows on Netflix.

1) The Office

A classic of all classics. You’ve probably quoted this show without even knowing it.

2) Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

There’s nothing like pure, unadulterated optimism! When life gets stressful and a little too much, Kimmy Schmidt is there to put it all into perspective.

3) Gossip Girl

I’ve never wanted to live in New York City so badly before in my life. But at the same time, I’m so thankful my life isn’t that dramatic. The question is, “Are you a Blair or Serena type of girl?”

4) Friends

Another classic. There’s something about this show that just doesn’t get old.

5) Scandal

A strong female lead, especially one led by Kerry Washington, coupled with a political drama? Absolutely.

6) Law and Order: Special Victims Unit

What girl doesn’t love a good crime show.

7) How I Met Your Mother

What’s more endearing than watching a grown man find the love of his life with the help of his best friends? This show proves that even adults don’t really have their lives together (something that can be very comforting for college students). This show is funny, heart warming, and full of Neil Patrick Harris.

8) The Blue Planet

Just because our world is so beautiful and sometimes we need to be reminded of that. It’s also so relaxing to leave on the TV while you’re doing homework.

9) Psych

This is my personal favorite. It’s super underrated and if you haven’t seen it, give it a try! Filled with tons of TV and movie references, good-humored nicknames, and witty banter between the two main guys Gus and Shawn, Psych is one of the greatest television shows I’ve ever seen.
