Whether or not you have a Valentine’s date, take some time to yourself this coming weekend and fall in love with these books. Oh, and don’t forget the chocolates.

1. The Light We Lost by Jill Santopolo

Best. Book. Ever. This gem is written mostly in the second person, and I don’t know about you, but I have not seen that happen…ever. That’s what makes this book so unique. Throughout it all, you’ll follow Lucy and Gabe along their thirteen-year journey. You’ll laugh, you’ll love, you’ll smile, and you’ll cry. This book inspires; this book changes you.

2. The Ship of Brides by Jojo Moyes

While it’s a historical fiction book, it’s also one of the sweetest books you’ll ever read. No tears in this one, just curiosity, smiling, and butterflies in your stomach. In this novel, you’ll learn of four women’s pasts and eventually, their future. A heart-warming lesson from The Ship of Brides is that it’s okay for your paths to turn, especially when you don’t expect it.

3. Sundays at Tiffany’s by James Patterson

Falling in love with your imaginary friend: impossible. But not for Jane. Although this book sounds incredibly unrealistic, it’s not. It’s beautiful, fun, and surprising. Pick up this book at the nearest bookstore and let yourself feel young again. If you do that, you’ll for sure fall in love with Jane and Michael.

Daughter of the Chosen One, coffee enthusiast, macaron lover, and smiley friend.
