Thanksgiving break always brings a mix of rest, togetherness, and of course family TV binges. This year, my family and I have fallen deep into The Morning Show. We’re currently watching Season 4, and somewhere between the late-night episodes and the collective gasps at every twist, I realized just how phenomenal this show truly is.

A Show That Understands Power, Truth, and Human Complexity

The Morning Show is about power, accountability, ambition, and the messy humanity that sits inside every institution. What makes it so interesting is the way it blends high-stakes newsroom drama with personal character arcs. The show doesn’t shy away from exploring complicated themes with media responsibility, corporate ethics, gender dynamics, public pressure, and the truth.

Female-Led, Female-Driven

Here’s where The Morning Show sets itself apart. While other media drama series, like the brilliant, chaotic, and universally praised Succession, unpack the power plays within wealthy families or corporate empires, The Morning Show, centers women’s experiences in media.

Bradley Jackson, Mia Jordan, Alex Levy and Christina Hunter drive this narrative, especially in Season 4. Their characters are powerful, flawed, ambitious, vulnerable, and constantly navigating systems that weren’t built for them. This female-centered lens gives the show an emotional depth and perspective that’s often missing in similar series. These are women fighting to be heard, to be respected, and to define themselves beyond the headlines.

Why You Should Watch It

If you love shows with:

  • nuance
  • complex characters
  • moral ambiguity
  • political and cultural relevance
  • newsroom chaos
  • and plot twists that feel both wild and real

…then The Morning Show is absolutely worth your time.

It’s compelling because of the drama and because it reflects the world we’re living which is where media shapes everything, where narratives are constantly contested, and where women in power still face battles men will never fully understand. So head over to Apple TV + and Amazon Prime and get started with The Morning Show!

Hi! I'm Maddie, a French-American from Westchester County, NY. I'm the campus correspondent, president and editor in chief! This is my last semester here which is crazy to think about. I'm also the one who restarted this club back in spring 2023 and have loved the opportunity to meet so many different people as well as working with brand partnerships. I'm a dance major with a concentration in performance and choreography. In my free time, I like to spend time with friends and family, travel, write articles for Her Campus magazine and watching great shows! Right now, I'm really into Slow Horses and the new season of The Morning Show.
