Reasons to Love the Triller App

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Skidmore chapter.

Being in college, we are constantly bombarded with new I-phone apps, trends, and cultural crazes. With the large volume of new content that is constantly coming out, it is often hard to sift through it all and discover which tools are worth downloading and playing around with. Let me help a little. My favorite new Iphone application is undoubtedly Triller; an easy-to-use program that allows you to effortlessly create short music videos with your favorite songs in minutes. Here are some of my favorite things about my newest procrastination-enabler:

1.     The effects and filters: Among the choices are black and white, sepia, ultraviolet, and my personal favorite: fish eye. All of these filters contribute to the overall drama or comedic value of your latest masterpiece.

2.     The song choice: Triller allows you to chose from a wide variety of songs by your favorite artists. It displays the most popular songs and has a search bar feature where you can find songs by artist or genre. If that still isn’t enough, the app allows you to use any audio file that you have saved on your phone.

3.     The shuffle/reshuffle feature: After filming all of the content needed for your video, you hit the shuffle button, which combines all of the clips together and creates your music video. If you are not happy with the way the app has combined your content, all you have to do is hit the button again to reorder the clips and create a new video.

All in all, this application is fun, accessible, and unapologetically goofy. The daily stress of college life is inescapable, but taking five minutes out of your day to make a silly music video with friends is a great way to make your day a bit more enjoyable.

Hey guys! I'm a freshman this year at Skidmore. I like hard rap music, shrimp tempura, and jean jackets.
