Oscars Party: Pinterest Pointers

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Skidmore chapter.

Awards season is upon us, collegiettes! The 85th Annual Academy Awards, one of the most prestigious events of the year for the crème-de-la-crème of the film industry, is quickly approaching. As we anxiously wait to find out which celebrities will walk away with gold statuettes, here are some ideas from Pinterest to help plan a perfect Oscar soiree!

You can buy 12 of these adorable invites for $6 on Etsy! Alternatively, use this Pinterest model to get creative and design your own cards.

These DIY Oscar statuettes can be used as centerpieces or given as party favors.

Use a cute DIY director’s clapboard to welcome guests or place them on tables for a functional and decorative touch.

Good food is an essential part of any successful party. We love this easy way to incorporate the Oscars theme into your desserts.

If you’re feeling more ambitious, you can even make sure your food is properly dressed for the occasion. These hotdogs and chocolate strawberries are too adorable to pass up.

Before the show starts, ask your guests to make their best predictions for each award category with a ballot! To make it even more interesting, offer a prize to the person who gets the most correct answers.

Whether you prefer the red carpet pre-show or the ceremony itself, we hope these ideas will help make this year’s Academy Awards a night to remember!
