Despite knowing the rumor that Kylie was pregnant this whole time, I was still SHOOK when she made the announcement that she had had her baby. Kylie keeping this part of her life private is not a surprise considering her whole life is in the headlines and she’s spoken out about wanting to be a “regular teen” before. Kylie wanting to give her child what she never had only makes sense. Hopefully by staying out of the public eye the baby will feel less pressure to be something she is not. One thing that I was confused and hurt by was the name of the baby. The Kardashians have been known for exotic names, such Reign and North, so I was expecting something quite creative from Kylie. To hear the baby’s name was Stormi was harder news to hear than the news that my best friend Kylie Jenner hid her pregnancy from me.
Due to the excitement from the birth of the new Jenner baby, rumors started to spread about the baby’s name. There was an elaborate theory that the baby’s name would be Posie. This is because Mariposa is Spanish for butterfly and Jenner and her baby daddy have matching butterfly tattoos and Scott has a song called Butterfly Effect that was released around 9 months before the baby was born.
Now, Posie would be a creative name. Just saying Kylie, if you’re reading this, I’m disappointed in you.
