RECYCLED Trends; 90s Fashion
Everything in fashion comes back around at some point. Before coming to school, I went shopping with my mom, and she pointed out tons of styles she wore back in the 90s. Here are our boomerang trends: Coats and other pieces of clothing with plaid accents, like the Christine Brewer coat. Baseball tees are also going to be a style staple this season, as we can see from Free People.
Lace. lace. lace.
Lace is turning out to be a huge part of 2026 fall fashion. Lace necklines, lace layering, asymmetrical tops with lace, lace bras- anything you can name with lace will be your best friend. H&M and Old Navy are the perfect places to get these garments for the fall, always reliably affordable and cute.
Denim Upon Denim
The denim frenzy has not slowed its pace. Non-distressed dark denim, especially, is also going to be the star of the show. Don’t shy away from denim layering either; style a pair of denim jeans and a jacket together, or a denim skirt with a denim jacket. Denim dresses are also hot this fall, like the ASOS shift dress.
Unique Tops
Tops are a pivotal part of fashion, and they can make or break your outfit. Some tops that will be trending this season are ponchos, asymmetrical tops, cinched-waist tops, and wrap tops. Don’t miss Princess Polly’s off-the-shoulder look, or Pacsun’s wrap cardigan.
Don’t Forget your jacket!
It is a universal struggle that your jacket is ruining an outfit you worked so hard on, but what if we could elevate your look instead? Here are 3 jackets you should check out if you relate:
- Turtleneck pea coats
- Fleece coats
- Barn Jackets
Shoes
Shoes are such an important part of a look; they add so much to an outfit. Some shoes that I think are in this fall are ballet flats (like the classic Sam Edelman flats), tall boots (like the Steve Madden Astor Leather boot), and a cute fashion sneaker.
