Get Dirty With These Three Body Scrubs

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Skidmore chapter.

A great body scrub is a beauty essential. If you don’t have a favorite scrub or if you don’t use one already, you definitely should; dead skin can build up and clog pores as well as make your skin rough and flaky. Using a body scrub at least once a week is a good way to make your skin feel silky smooth! These three scrubs can be used year-round, making them the perfect products to add to your shower routine!

1. Frank Coffee Scrub (original, coffee, cocoa & peppermint)

Get rough with this coffee-based scrub. Not only will this body scrub leave your skin feeling soft as a baby’s bum, but it also helps to eliminate stretch marks, cellulite, acne, scarring, and other skin blemishes.  Packed with essential oils, vitamins and minerals, this scrub will wake up your senses. If you have sensitive skin, make sure to test patch before going crazy.

2. Mario Badescu Raspberry Body Scrub

This light pink whipped body scrub is ideal for people with sensitive skin who still want to exfoliate. It is made with all natural ingredients like raspberry seeds and cornmeal that help slough away dead skin and leave your skin feeling moisturized. Gentle yet effective, this body scrub will last for a long time. If you prefer a more coarse body scrub, steer clear of this one.

3. St. Ive’s Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub

This subtlety scented apricot scrub is perfect for scrubbing away your dry skin from head to toe during the winter months. While it isn’t super rough, it certainly gets the job done. The cornmeal and walnut shell powder will gently exfoliate your skin and leave it feeling soft and rejuvenated. This product is also more cost efficient, so you can’t go wrong when using it; plus its all natural! If you’re unsure of whether you want a gentler or coarser scrub, err on the side of caution and pick this happy medium.
