5 Things You NEED For Your St. Patrick’s Day Celebrations

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Skidmore chapter.

Saint Patrick’s Day is right around the corner, and whether you’re Irish or not, this is the perfect time to celebrate the most stereotypically Irish tradition of all: a Guinness-fueled good time.  We’ve put together a list of five products that will enhance your celebration and make your day as awesome as possible.

These knee socks.  Because, of course, anyone who would kiss you would make sure to check your calves first.  You know, just in case.

This shot glass necklace.  A quote from the Spencer’s website: “This shot glass hold [sic] 2 ounces of your favorite whiskey and lights up so all your drunken friends can find you.”  This is basically the equivalent of those leashes for children with the reflectors on the back.

This hat.  Just in case the light up shot glass wasn’t enough, this hat will definitely make sure you’re visible.  And visibly drunk.

This string of green lights.  If you can’t find a good enough Saint Patty’s Day outfit, just wrap yourself in these.  They’ll do the trick.  Alternately, these are great in the event that you want to decorate your house for March 17th.

These inflatable shamrocks.  I don’t know why you would need TWELVE of these, but they’re probably important for a successful Saint Patrick’s Day.  Better safe than sorry.

Ella is a sophomore at Skidmore College in upstate New York, where she is studying religion.  Outside of school, she lives just south of Boston, Massachusetts, with her parents, three younger siblings, and four small dogs, which gets pretty crazy.  She loves music, fashion, and food, and wants to travel the world someday.
