10 Signs You’ve Been Sick For Way Too Long

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at Skidmore chapter.

I know a lot of college students (myself included), who have gotten to a point in the semester where they are constantly sick. You got sick once and your immune system stayed weak, and now you’re forced to live with a new decreased standard of health. If you are one of those people, this list may resonate with you.

1. You carry an ample supply of tissues with you constantly.

2. You start offering your friends medicine because you have so much in your room.

3. People don’t even offer to share their drinks with you anymore for fear of catching whatever you have.

4. You forget what anything smells like.

5. You have cough drops everywhere.

6. You’re sick of soup.

7. Your answer to “How are you feeling?” has become “Eh I’m fine, I’m used to being sick at this point”.

8. You’ve given up on trying to wear makeup because it’s always rubbed off by tissues by noon anyway.

9. You can pretty much auto-reply to any plans, “Sorry, still sick”.

10. You forget what being healthy actually feels like and vow never to take it for granted again.
