Back to School Fashion Essentials: College Edition

Before coming to college, I wore a uniform to school. Last year was the first time in my whole life that I had to pick out an outfit every day for school! It took some trial and error, but by the end of the year I figured out that simplicity is key. Having your basic outfit essentials on hand going back to school is a life-saver. These are the items that became my new “uniform” and you should totally keep in your dorm!

Black Leggings

I wear black leggings all the time. You can wear them to work out, to class, or even to go out. Leggings can get really pricey, but I don’t mind spending a lot on them because I get so much use out of them. I would recommend getting a few pairs of nice black leggings to keep in your closet, they literally go with everything My favorite ones are from lululemon and athleta!

Black Jeans

You’ll probably notice that every girl in college has a pair of jeans with a rip in the knee. I like them because they dress up an outfit and give it a little more edge than regular jeans do!

White Sneakers

I live in my Nike Air Force ones. They’re so comfy and give me a little bit of height too! I also really like my white vans. I would recommend getting a white or neutral colored sneaker that will go with every outfit. You’ll be walking around a lot and it’s important to have shoes that are cute and comfy!

School T-Shirts

When you get to school, hit up the bookstore! I love wearing an SJU shirt with leggings or denim shorts and my Air Force ones. You can find cute tee shirts from your school online too! I also will tie up the bottom of the tee shirt or crop it for a different look.
