Snapshot: Bronstein Hall

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SJU chapter.

The Communications Studies department has been growing at SJU year after year since its start. The department has become so big, in fact, that the school decided to give the comm department a home! Introducing Bronstein Hall, the newly renovated Lapsley lane building now home to all communications professors.

Our HerCampus SJU photographer Johanna Lynch got us the inside view of the new building. The entire first floor is dedicated to student collaboration, allowing access to tools such as white board walls, TVs, 3D printers, and lounge areas. An area of the second floor has a large conference table and is home to all of the offices. All students are welcome from 9am-5pm during the week to collaborate and get work done!

The communications professors designed the building themselves, aiming to create clean, crisp working spaces that allow students to talk and create.

Bronstein Hall was a complete overhaul renovation. It needed to be rebuilt on the inside to accommodate all professor and student needs. It turned out to be a beautiful building, combining the modern updates with the antique details original to the building. Having been inside myself, it’s a fantastic new spot to either get some work done or meet with friends.
