Welcome to Her Campus at Buffalo! We are all very excited and grateful to be able to collaborate with Saint Joseph’s University, SUNY Geneseo, and University of Bristol. To start off, my name is Katie and I am the president and chapter correspondent here at Buffalo. I am a sophomore majoring in psychology with a minor in political science. The vice president, social media manager, and event coordinator of our chapter is Ali LeCroy. She is also a sophomore majoring in political science. We have a total of seven members (including Ali and me). All of our members from last year have since graduated, so it is almost as if we are starting fresh!
This semester has been difficult with COVID, therefore we have not hosted any events as of yet. We had a Netflix Party movie night team bonding event before Halloween and watched a Halloween romcom! It was very fun and a great way to bring everyone together while being COVID-safe. My goals for the rest of this year are to increase recruitment, host virtual events, collaborate with other clubs on campus, and have events, social media takeovers, and article collaborations with our sister chapters! We are looking forward to spring recruitment and cannot wait to hopefully meet some new girls who are passionate about their writing.
