As the flowers start to bloom and warmer weather approaches, Greek Life is in full swing between initiating New Members, Philanthropy Events, and Greek Week. In years past, Greek Week has been a competition between the different organizations in a series of fun events planned throughout the week. This year, Greek Week is focused on promoting unity, a word usually not associated with Greek Life. Here at SJU this spring, we are working on showing our incredible Fraternities and Sororities in a positive and healthy manner!
Although the competition aspect of the week is being eliminated, fun will not be sacrificed. There are still an immense amount of events that are going to be happening around campus! Check them out here!
Monday, April 7th: A guest speaker will be coming in to talk to all the Greek organizations on campus at 6pm and 8 pm!
Tuesday April 8th: Lambda Chi Alpha and Sigma Phi Epsilon will be having a bake sale (Who doesn’t love some homemade treats?!) There will also be a coin drive going on during free period!
Wednesday, April 9th: Alpha Omicron Pi and Alpha Phi will be hosting their Sisters for Soldiers philanthropy event!
Thursday, April 10th: Sigma Pi and Phi Sigma Sigma will be hosting their philanthropy event, “A Match Made in Heaven: Greek Life Edition”, where Big/Little pairs will test their knowledge on how well they know each other! There is also a talent show from 8-10 PM!
Friday, April 11th: Stop by in the morning and get Dunkin Donuts and coffee from Alpha Gamma Delta and Sigma Sigma Sigma for a great start to your day!
Saturday, April 12th: Members of all the Greek Organizations will be volunteering at Hand in Hand’s event on campus!
Sunday, April 13th: Greek Barbeque at 3 P.M.
