Having difficulty finding ways to decorate your living space for the holidays? This DIY Hula Hoop chandelier can be installed in any college dorm or apartment room, and is extremely easy to do. It’s a great project to sit around and do with roommates or friends if you’re looking for a festive break from the stress and pressure of finals.

1.     The Foundation

Wrap the Ace Bandage around the Hula Hoop covering all the plastic and giving it a neutral white color

2.    Lights

Wrap the string lights loosely around the entire Hula Hoop. Consider putting two different sized strands so that some of the lights hang down loosely, giving it a more relaxed look.

            3.    Hanging Precautions

Cut and attach the rope to six or eight different areas (depending on the size of your Hula Hoop) to create a stable base to hang the chandelier from.

4.    Hang it up!

Find a beam or possibly attach a hook to the ceiling to hang the chandelier from. Preferably, the hanging area should be in the middle of the ceiling of the room or area in order to provide as much light as possible. The chandelier should be relatively light, making it easy to hang up!

Your finished product should look something similar to this:
