Nina is a senior from Atco, New Jersey. She is studying Interdisciplinary Health with minors in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare Marketing, and Healthcare Ethics.

HC: What activities are you involved in on campus?

NC: I’m on the Executive Board of SJU’s National Honor Fraternity Phi Sigma Pi, serving as the Recruitment Advisor. What I love about recruitment is the opportunity to create cool advertising materials, host events, and conduct interviews for tons of amazing students. I have also served as the head of hospitality for the spring concert committee the past few years where we spend months before the show preparing to host the artist. Spring concert is an amazing opportunity to plan, delegate and use interpersonal skills. I am also an active member of the Pharmaceutical Industry Leaders of Tomorrow (PILOT), and an APEX and Collegiate Challenge participant.

HC: What do you like to do in your free time?

NC: In my free time, I enjoy writing in my journal or writing little notes to friends and family. Whenever I have the energy, I work out and on slower days I do yoga. I also try to make time to paint, listen to Ted Talks, and distract my friends.

HC: Since it’s October, what is your favorite fall activity?

Nina: I love the coziness of baking fall themed foods with my Nonna and cuddling up by fires. The colors of fall are so unique, so I try to spend time outside enjoying the sunshine and leaves. But, my favorite thing about fall must be October (Halloween), the spookiness that comes with it, and the opportunity to create all kinds of crazy costumes.

HC: What is your favorite spot in Philly?

NC: One of my favorite spots in Philly is the Art Museum, where I can use my membership to check out all kinds of events and music. In the summer I go as often as I can to Spruce Street/Harbor Park because I love the waterfront and relaxing atmosphere. I am not vegan, but would eat Center City’s HipCityVeg every day if I could.

HC: As a senior, do you have any advice for incoming freshmen?

NC: Always be yourself. Surely go out of your comfort zone, talk to new people, and explore new environments, but stay true to yourself. Go where you feel most alive!

HCXO,

Tori
