What exactly is Net Impact? Net impact is a worldwide network of undergraduate, graduate students and young professionals who use the power of business to tackle some of the world’s social and environmental issues.

Here are the boys that make the backbone of SJU’s Net Impact. Be sure to say hi on campus to this riveting bunch!

Andres Urrea Piccini

HC: Why are you in Net Impact?

AP: I come from a third world country where poverty is more prevalent and I would like to change that. Being part of Net Impact is a step towards that change

HC: Why did you come to Saint Joes?

AP: I was recruited to play tennis here, but I particularly chose SJU because the campus is really nice and I felt like the care of the people is around campus

HC: What else are you involved in on campus?

AP: Tennis Team, Developing Everyday Champions, and Net Impact

HC: Who’s your inspiration?

AP: My tennis coach from back home because he taught me how to be humble and motivated me to be a hardworking and dedicated person

HC: What’s your favorite movie?

AP: Inception

HC: Single or taken?

AP: Taken

 

Zach Saionz

HC:Why are you in net impact?

ZS: Because I wanted to get more involved on campus and there is a pressing need for change

HC: What kind of change do you mean?

ZS: Getting the word out there for businesses to be more corporate responsible

HC: Why did you come to Saint Joes?

ZS: I wasn’t exactly planning on it originally because I only live about a half hour away, but I like the connections and people I have met here

HC: What do you like to do in your free time?

ZS: Enjoy hanging out with friends, the gym, and following sports- especially basketball

HC: Who’s your inspiration?

ZS: My family always told me from day one to never take anything for granted and nothing comes easy or is handed to you- you gotta go out and get it

HC: Favorite movies?

ZS: Glory Road and Coach Carter

HC: Single or taken?

ZS: Single

 

Tommy Alessandrello

HC: Why are you in net impact?

TA: Why not get involved in an organization that does a huge service to your campus and benefits the generation of students to come

HC: Why did you come to Saint Joes?

TA: My cousin came and graduated in 2012 and I was always around campus and liked the students and community

HC: What else are you involved on campus?

TA: Capital Markets Club, Net Impact, and I’m studying abroad in Florence in the fall

HC:What’s your favorite sport?

TA: Hockey- rangers

HC: Favorite movies?

TA: Planet of The Apes, Interstellar, and UP

HC: Drink of choice?

TA:Vitamin Power C – Dragon Fruit

HC: What do you like to do in your free time?

TA: Watch Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Sopranos, Breaking Bad,  go to the gym, play sports, and go to museums

HC: Single or taken?

TA: Single

 

Mike Trasolini

HC: Why did you choose net impact?

MT: To further my interest in green technologies and socially responsible business practices

HC: Drink of choice?

MT: Diet Mountain Dew

HC: What do you do in your free time?

MT: Mountain bike, play basketball and anything outside

HC: Single or taken?

MT: Single

HC: Why did you choose Net Impact?

MG: I have always been concerned by environmental problems, especially global warming/ climate change and I wanted to help do something about these problems

HC: Why did you choose SJU?

MG: Its relatively close to my home (I’m from Bala Cynwyd)

HC: Drink of choice?

MG: Coffee

HC: What do you do in your free time?

MG: I like to listen to music

HC: Single or taken?

MG: Single
