Annie Winters, a junior Food Marketing major, is hard to miss around campus. People often refer to her as Barbie because she is super tall and stylish. Not to mention her long blonde hair is always curled to perfection! Annie and I sat down in the most necessary of all places… Starbucks, as she drank her venti Ice Tea Lemonade sweetened and I drank my venti Ice Soy Chi Latte. It was my pleasure to get to know this real life Barbie even better.

HC: So, I have to ask, where is your favorite place to shop?

Annie: Either J.Crew or Ralph Lauren. But, more so – Marshall’s, I love Marshall’s.

HC: Going off that, what is your go-to outfit or favorite article of clothing you have?

Annie: In the winter it’s my Bean Boots that I wear everyday. Fall is my navy and pink Shep shirt, spring my J.Crew field jacket and summer is my Jack Rodgers. But my ultimate go-to is my J.Crew Field Jacket that goes with basically anything – it can make a lazy outfit into a cute outfit.

HC: So, have you always been very fashionable?

Annie: Yes, I went to a public high school, so I got to wear whatever I wanted, but my style has changed a lot since being at SJU. I use to be super basic by wearing Uggs and Abercrombie, but now I would never step foot in an Ugg.

I laugh as I am wearing my Ugg slippers, which I loveeee!

HC: Do you have a certain perfume you always wear?

Annie: Yes, it is Viva la Juicy.

But enough with the clothes, more about you….

HC: What are three things you can find on your nightstand?

Annie: 700 water bottles, my alarm clock (she is kind of old school and still uses that, not her phone) and a candle—lavender.

HC: Why lavender?

Annie: My roommate got it for me!

HC: What song would you pick to do Karaoke to?

Annie: My mom and I always talk about this so I should have a go to answer for this… Drops of Jupiter by Train!

HC: Single or taken?

Annie: Single and always looking for a date for formal ;)

HC: Deal Breaker?

Annie: Having a big ego.

HC: Something you look for in a significant other?

Annie: Good sense of humor, someone who dresses well, down to earth and genuine.

HC: Blonde or Brunette?

Annie: In high school it was blonde, but since coming to college it’s changed to more brunette.

HC: What would your perfect date be?

Annie: Not that formal of an activity, going to a game or a concert, something on those lines not just a sit down dinner.

HC: Best concert you have been too?

Annie: Dirks Bently country concert at PNC Arts Center, but I REALLY want to see Luke Bryan.

HC: What is the most embarrassing moment you have ever had?

Annie: Over spring break I was in Miami and was looking at my phone while walking and I walked right into a palm tree.

HC: Do you have a motto or quote you live by?

Annie: Go the extra mile it’s never crowed.

HC: Favorite emjoi?

Annie: The twin dancers

HC: Instagram or Twitter?

Annie: Instagram

HC: Where can we find you when you have free time when you’re at school?

Annie: Probably at honey grow with my sorority twin Caitlyn Walley. We literally own that place and go there once a week. Sometimes twice.

HC: What is your go-to order?

Annie: Salad with chicken, cucumbers, onions, carrots and balsamic dressing romaine lettuce. But, never kale, I hate kale.

HC: Health nut?

Annie: God no, if I’m not at honey grow I go to Wendy’s.

HC: Guilty pleasure snack?

Annie: Definitely french fries, regular with ketchup.

HC: What do you binge watch on Netflix?

Annie: Gossip girl – I have watched it 6 times.

HC: Who can you relate to better, Serena or Blair?

Annie: Definitely Blair, my twitter name is Blair Waldorf.

HC: Beach or skiing?

Annie: Tough one- I have been skiing since I was 5, but I basically grew up on the beach.

HC: How do you order a hawk wrap?

Annie: I love them – I get them with cheese, hawk sauce, lettuce, onion, extra pickles, chicken and of course fries on the side.

HC: What is a hobby of yours besides playing field hockey?

Annie: I really do like to craft. I paint sneakers- usually Lilly prints. And I like to water ski in the summers.

HC: Dream Job?

Annie: I want to work in advertising with a larger company. I’ve always wanted to work for Teen Vogue, but now it would probably be in the food industry. Lauren Conrad is my girl!!

HC: Celebrity crushes?

Annie: Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Aniston.

So, if you see Annie on Campus or in Honey Grow make sure to say hi!!

HCXO,

Diana
