Crime shows are totally my guilty pleasure.  Nothing makes me feel more relaxed than a bowl of popcorn, a dark room with just my fairy lights on, a fuzzy blanket, and a crime show playing on my laptop. If doing this is something you enjoy, or if you’re looking for a new “hobby” or nightly activity to get into, then this is the best article for you to read! These are some of my favorites, and other well known popular crime shows that are available to stream on Netflix.

  1. Criminal Minds

The first show I’m listing is my most FAVORITE crime show EVER. PERIOD.  In my humble opinion, Criminal Minds is just far superior to any other investigation mystery.  The nail-biting drama, the compassionate characters, the out of this world profiling, and the insane crimes themselves all contribute to making it the best series.  After 2 episodes, you’ll feel like you can be a member of the elite FBI Behavioral Analysis Unit. And guess what? There’s 12 seasons available for streaming. Happy profiling!

  1. Dexter

The next show I’m ringing in on my list is a favorite of my cousin and aunt (shoutout to Matthew and Aunt Kara!). The title character, Dexter, works for the Miami police as a blood analyst, but is a serial killer on the low. Who doesn’t love a two-sided main character?! Go watch it and let me know what you think!

  1. Person of Interest

This show is not super realistic, but still interesting to think about and watch.  In it, the government has a software called “The Machine” that is able to predict crimes happening so that those crimes can be stopped.  This show will definitely make you ponder ethics, as well as whether you could become a CIA agent. P.S. You can do it!

  1. Quantico

This show stars THE Priyanka Chopra-Jonas.  Need I say more? She gets to live all our dreams of being a real FBI agent! (Or is that just my dream?) Anyways, Priyanka is on the run trying to prove her innocence after being accused of a huge crime… watch to find out what happens!

*BONUS*

  1. Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil, and Vile

This movie I would not actually consider a “crime show”, thus, I am making it a bonus!  Zac Efron played this role perfectly, in my opinion. When the movie first came out, some people didn’t like the fact that it portrayed ted Bundy in a romantic light, however I thought it was absolutely necessary! It drew attention to the fact that serial killers can take on completely normal and lovable personalities during the day.  Do yourself a favor and watch this one!

Well, we’ve come to the end of my list.  Thankfully, Netflix offers a whole bunch of movies/shows in the Crime genre section.  If you need some inspiration of what to watch, turn to this list!
