6 Winter Trends To Wear On Campus

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at SJU chapter.

The next few weeks of the semester can be challenging, with finals getting closer and the weather getting colder.  Sometimes, it can be hard to put together an outfit when the temperature has dropped and it’s just too cold outside. Well, here are some of the top 2018 winter trends that can easily be added to any college girl’s wardrobe – and will actually get you excited for winter!

1. Parkas

Parkas definitely dominated all the runways this season and will keep you warm all winter long! Parkas can come in different sizes, lengths, and even material so that you get the perfect fit!

2. 60’s

The Swinging Sixties are making another comeback this winter! Look for the iconic designs and patterns in new winter jackets, sweaters, and skirts!

3. Fringing

This is a recurring trend from previous seasons, however it’s still just as fashionable this winter! Keep an eye out for new, cute fringed winter jackets and boots to add to your vogue-worthy wardrobe.

4. 80’s Jackets

You’ve probably noticed their come back in magazines… now you’ll be seeing them all over campus! This season’s power jacket is the updated, loose-fitting 80’s jacket.

5. Leopard

This signature look took the runways by storm this season. When shopping, be on the lookout for leopard print jackets, hats, gloves, boots, and even belts. Embrace the leopard and use it to create a statement piece to your outfit. Besides, you can’t go wrong with this classic trend!

6. Layering

Layering is the perfect winter fashion choice, especially for college students! This look allows you to be warm and bundled up while walking to class. Then, when you get to your hot classroom (classrooms in Merion Hall are always super hot), you’re able to take off some of those layers.

Happy Shopping!
