Halloween is right around the corner, and no one is stopping you from breaking out the cat ears or your old uniform kilt for the fourth year in a row. But why not try something a little different? Check out these 10 cute, costume ideas that you will most likely already have in your closet that are a bit unique.

1. Rosie the Riveter

Put that chambray shirt to good use and pair it with your favorite denim shorts. Tie your hair up with a basic red bandana to complete the look. You can do it!

2. Waldo

How great does going out in your favorite pair of leggings sound? Find a red and white striped t-shirt and some goofy glasses and you’re all set to be Waldo.

3. Mario and Luigi

Grab your roommate, some denim shorts and one red and one green t-shirt and you’re pretty much set to be this classic duo. Put the finishing touches on this outfit with suspenders, white gloves, a hat and a stick on mustache.

4. Jigsaw

Halloween is supposed to be a little spooky right? All you need is some eyeliner or face paint, a red bow tie, a white shirt with a black jacket over it and either black jeans or leggings to recreate this classic creepy character.

5. Sandy from Grease

Leather leggings are everything right now; why not use them to recreate this classic look? Wear them with a simple black top, a black belt, some heels and give yourself some big curls and you’ll have everyone saying “you’re the one that I want”!

6. Franzia

Everyone’s favorite-boxed beverage comes to life with this creative costume. Grab some friends and everyone can be a different flavor all the way from crisp white to red fruity sangria. All you need is some cellophane or plastic wrap to make the skirt.

7. Beanie Babies

Saying that you are a Beanie Baby rather than just a plain old cheetah sounds cuter right? Put a little twist on your animal look this year by pairing your pair of ears with a homemade TY sign.

8. Audrey Hepburn; Breakfast at Tiffany’s

Break out your favorite little black dress, black pumps, pearls, and black gloves to recreate this iconic look from everyone’s favorite girl Audrey. Put your hair up in a sock bun and top it off with a tiara as a finishing touch.

9. Frat Bro

Kind of like a modernized Risky Business, except you’re not trying to be Tom Cruise, you’re trying to be your favorite Lambda or Sig Ep boy. Borrow a pastel colored button down, Nike socks and wear your Sperries and some sunglasses and you’re all set, bro.

10. Army Girls

Put those combat boots to good use to be G.I. Joe, girl edition. Throw on some war paint under your eyes and wear something camouflage or army green.

Hopefully these 10 ideas will inspire you to try something a little bit different this year. Happy Halloween, Hawks!
