By now, I’m sure most of you have heard of the recall election for Governor Gavin Newsom on Tuesday. There will be two parts to the recall ballot. The first requires a yes or no answer. Should Gov. Gavin Newsom be recalled or removed from office? The second part allows voters to pick a replacement for governor if Newsom is recalled. 

Here are all the ways you can vote in this election. 

Vote by mail ballot

Voters can return their vote-by-mail ballot with prepaid postage as long as it’s postmarked by Sept. 14.

Ballot Drop Box

Voters can drop off their ballot at a secure ballot drop box by 8 p.m. on Sept. 14.

Same Day Voter Registration

There are a few places in San Jose where voters can go the day of the election to cast their vote. Here is a list of places in San Jose that have same-day voter registration. The polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Some of these places also have early voting as well.
