Congratulations! You’re finally ready to enjoy all the cute couples’ activities. Lucky for you, San Jose has no shortage of date spots to fall in love with.

Whether you’re looking for something classic or wanting to try something new, here are a few recommendations to make your next date unforgettable.

The Classics

Don’t completely rule out the clichés, they’re known for a reason.

Urban Putt

Urban Putt in Downtown San Jose is the perfect modern reinvention of the timeless date activity.

With an indoor course and a built-in lounge for food and drinks, it’s an easy all-in-one date.

Plus, its central location in downtown makes it effortless to continue the night with a short walk to nearby restaurants.

While you may have various convenient streaming services at home, there’s something special about going out to see a movie.

    West Wind Capital Drive-In

West Wind Capital Drive-In is a nostalgic date idea, screening new releases and older movies no longer in theaters.

Bring some blankets, grab some snacks, and enjoy a cozy night under the stars.

      Lovely Activities

      Petroglyph

Let your inner artist shine! Petroglyph is a creative way to connect while making something meaningful together.

This activity leaves plenty of room for conversation, plus you get to take home a sweet memento from your date.

        Glow Candle Lounge

Right across the street, Glow Candle Lounge offers another memorable experience. Create scents for each other that will carry the memory of your date long after it ends.

          Love at First Sight

Planning a dreamy evening? Consider a night under the stars at the Lick Observatory.

Opening just in time for the Summer, the Lick Observatory offers celestial tours and lectures.

Most known for their iconic telescope dome, most people don’t know you can picnic on the observatory grounds, which offer a scenic view of the Santa Clara Valley.

Who knows, maybe your love really is written in the stars.

          A Love for the Outdoors

Sometimes the simplest dates are the most memorable. Picnics are endlessly customizable; make it extravagant or keep it casual.

          The Municipal Rose Garden

The Municipal Rose Garden is a vibrant picnic spot that absolutely blossoms in the warmer months.

Although you may need some allergy medicine, the Rose Garden offers plenty of space to relax amongst the roses. You can bring snacks and activities, or keep it effortless with some conversation.

If you’re the athletic type, a nice hike is an effective way to get some steps with lovely company.

            Coyote Creek Trail

Coyote Creek Trail is a scenic trail guaranteed to get your heart pumping. Make sure to bring water and maybe a camera for sweet candid moments.

Food Is the Way to the Heart

Lastly, nothing joins people more than food!

              Eos & Nyx

For a romantic, low-lit dinner, Eos & Nyx is the new hotspot for delicious Mediterranean food and an intimate atmosphere.

While the restaurant does take walk-ins, reservations are advised to guarantee a table.

                San Pedro Square

If you’re looking for a more lively ambiance, San Pedro Square is a timeless food spot in the heart of San Jose.

With a variety of food from burritos to pasta, accompanied by live entertainment, you’ll be sure to have a fulfilling date.

San Jose has a date spot for every type of couple. In the end, it doesn’t matter where you go or what you do; with the right person, it will always be special.
