Campus Trendsetters is a program introduced by Her Campus for social media savvy women who are interested in sharing their insight on products and services. Through the program I have personally built upon my social media marketing skills by challenging myself to create aesthetic content that elevates product campaigns. Since the transition to quarantine, many women have been at a loss for skill-building opportunities to enhance their resume. Apply to become a Campus Trendsetters for the opportunity to gain real-world experience, build your resume, become an established “taste maker”, and network with other trendsetters.
The Cheat Sheet:
During the month of April, Campus Trendsetters released their Study From Home Care Package along with a “cheat sheet” that acts as a road map for each product. The cheat sheet includes Instagram handles, hashtags, product description, and other essential information that is beneficial to helping you create your content. These guidelines help trendsetters like myself develop brand strategies to effectively create raw content.
Developing Your Campaign:
To create content for this month’s campaign, I turned to Canva, a graphic design platform that provides its users with templates, illustrations, fonts, and images to create social media graphics, stories, presentations, etc. Through the app, I was able to select my template of choice and develop it into an effective brand promotion for my Instagram story. Canva provided me with a creative outlet to cultivate my vision and create interactive content for Campus Trendsetters. My goal when designing brand content is to give my followers a reason to interact with my stories by using colorful text, gifs, and clear photos.

Covergirl Fresh Tinted Lip Oils • This product is packed with high shine and long-lasting moisture to leave your lips feeling soft, smooth, and conditioned for up to 6 hours. While most oil-infused lip tints tend to cause the skin surrounding your lips to breakout, this product doesn’t. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for an affordable and luscious lip oil. 4. RXBAR Blueberry Protein Bar • Ever tried a bar with real food protein? If not, head down to your local grocery store to taste a convenient, delicious, and nutritious bar with no artificial flavors or colors. As someone who has searched for countless protein bars only to be disappointed with the contents and flavor, I have never felt more excited to end my search! The Blueberry Protein Bar is packed with a nutty and fruity flavor and the best part is, every ingredient is there for a reason. 5. Garnier • I have been using Garnier’s products for years and have never been disappointed with the results. Unlike most makeup removers and cleansers, it leaves your skin feeling clean, refreshed and makeup free! For women that wear little to no makeup, I would highly recommend the all-in-one cleanser that removes makeup, lifts dirt, and oil with no rinsing or harsh rubbing: SkinActive Original Micellar Cleansing Water. As someone who has struggled with these issues my whole life, it has been my goal to find products that will help me to decrease and minimize my impurities; this product does exactly that.
