As someone who identifies as Asian-American, I believe that it is important that the Asian-American Pacific Islander (AAPI) community have visible representation in the media. When I was a kid, AAPI content creators were scarce on YouTube until now. Today, the platform is now home to many different types of creators and storytellers, who show off their talents and what they have to offer to the internet. Here are three female Asian content creators I think you should check out and why!

1. Ashley Alexander

Ashley Alexander, a.k.a ur mom ashley, is a Korean-American content creator and podcaster. Ashley attends Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York and studies Business Management. Her channel consists of vlogs, beauty/fashion content, and trendy challenges. Ashley’s YouTube journey does not only document her life, but also the lives of her two siblings: Amber and Andrew. On her channel, you can expect a mix of fun laughs and serious in-depth conversations about her experience as a Korean-American woman. For more content by Ashley, I also suggest checking out her podcast called Extra-Dynamic with ur mom ashley

2. Linh Truong

Linh Truong is a Vietnamese-American content creator and an editing genius. Linh attends Georgetown University and studies Sociology. On her channel, she makes videos about fashion, lifestyle content, and her art. Her creative editing style gives off major Studio Ghibli vibes, which exhibits her artistic talent. Linh also uses her platform to speak up about important topics, such as societal beauty standards and systemic racism in America.

3. Nayna Florence

Nayna Florence is an Indian-English content creator and podcaster. Nayna is from London and attends the University of Edinburgh in Scotland! Her content consists of weekly vlogs, vegan cooking videos, and thrift hauls. Eco-consciousness and sustainability remains the keystone of her personal brand and platform. She uses her voice to speak about important issues such as the fast fashion industry, gender discrimination, and racism. Beyond her channel, Nayna also has a podcast called Growing With The Flow. On her podcast, you can listen to her talk about interesting topics ranging from what’s going on in her life to taking down the patriarchy.
