Our student-athlete of the month goes to Denae Douglas! Denae is part of the class of 2021, a Nursing major at Simmons University, and is on the basketball team.
She truly exemplifies the definition of a student athlete. In her game against MIT, she started the game and collected five rebounds for the sharks.
Last season, Denae made appearances in 12 games and averaged 1.7 rebounds per game. In her high school career at Townson High School in Maryland, her team named her most improved player in her senior season.
