To my first pals,
How long has it been since I’ve seen you all? Probably almost a year now. I’m sorry I haven’t made time to see you guys, I’ve been busy adjusting to my new school and keeping up with everything. How are you guys? I hope you know I miss each and every one of you like hell. I chose to transfer because I was unhappy with the school, not because of you guys. If I had the chance, I would’ve brought you all with me. I love my new school, though. From the academics to the location, it’s almost everything I’ve ever wanted. The only thing missing is my original school family.
It was really difficult making new friends but I eventually did. I have best friends now! I really do! They’ll never replace you all though. You were my day ones, the ones I relied on upon with the transition from high school to college. You know most of my secrets and I know yours. We’ve been through stupid fights and some crazy nights. I wouldn’t trade it for the world. You’ve seen me laugh, cry, upset and even brought me goodies when I was sick. We struggled through freshman year as we wore school gear, lanyards around our necks and struggled to find classes.
What wouldn’t I do for another family dinner at the dining hall, followed by hanging out in my room until the wee hours of the morning playing card games or watching movies? Our inside jokes are irreplaceable and when I think to repeat them here, it’s not the same. I promise I will come and see you all eventually. Pinky swear.
