For spring break I was lucky enough to spend the week in beautiful Port St. Lucie, Florida! This trip was full of good eats, beach trips, and gorgeous sunsets! Here is a little glimpse of my trip!

Here is my dinner from the Hopcat restaurant in Tradition (Port St. Lucie, Florida). I had some vegetarian chili and a burger (with a gluten free bun of course)! So yummy! And even better, it’s located on a lake with beautiful views at sunset!

Next, I visited the Sea Turtle beach at Jensen Beach. Port St. Lucie is just a short ride to the east coast! As you can see the water was turquoise. Who knew you could experience Caribbean-like beaches in Florida?! Beginning in spring and ending in the fall, sea turtles actually come and lay their eggs on the beach (hence the name sea turtle beach).

And my favorite part of the trip….getting to see the Red Sox play!! Port St. Lucie is home to First Data Field, the New York Mets’ spring training facility. A few of my favorites got to play, including J.D. Martinez, Christian Vazquez, and Rafael Devers! I even saw Tim Tebow play in left field for the Mets. And the Sox pulled away with a 9-3 win! Here is a picture of Vazquez catching some pitches. Only 26 more days until the boys are back at Fenway!

If you’re in need of a new vacation destination, visit the Treasure Coast! Located just a couple hours from Disney World and steps from beautiful beaches, there is something here for everyone!

Hi! I'm a third-year biochemistry major here at Simmons, with dreams of becoming the next Meredith Grey! When I'm not studying, I enjoy playing field hockey, hanging out with friends, and exploring the city!
