Ah yes, fall is here. Just like everyone else, we are excited for pumpkin spice, oversized sweaters, & everything nice. With fall, however, comes more than the #basics everyone makes fun of yet secretly enjoys. It also brings new TV shows. As the brisk air is approaching, we are more than happy to sit by a nonexistent fireplace, and make hot cocoa with a Keurig and enjoy our weekly favorites. Well, here is our 4 most loved and most excited for tv shows this fall that we think are worth the hype.

Riverdale- October 10th, CW

Before the pilot aired, there was so much hype behind this Archie Comics based series. First reaction? Skeptical. It looked great but growing up with the comics, I was nervous. After the pilot aired— obsessed. It’s loosely based off the comics but it’s too good to care. The series follows (super attractive) Archie Andrews, played by KJ Apa. As the season progresses, more characters are introduced, and Riverdale’s hidden darkness is unveiled. Not only will you fall in love with Jughead (Cole Sprouse), Betty Cooper (Lili Reinhart), and Veronica Lodge (Camila Mendes) on TV, but in real life too. Don’t believe me? Watch the show, go on their Instagrams, and then, I promise, I won’t say I told you so.

Chilling Adventures of Sabrina- October 26th, Netflix

Remember Sabrina Spellman (or at least Salem)?

She’s back… kinda. Like Riverdale, the series is loosely based off of the Sabrina Comics. With the same production crew as Riverdale, we are ecstatic. The basic premise is that Sabrina must reconcile her half-witch, half-mortal self while fighting evil. The series was inspired by 1960s & 1970s satanic horror movies aka The Exorcist. If Riverdale’s twist are as bizarrely amazing as they are, then Sabrina is going to be downright iconic. Even more exciting news? There’s rumor of a possible overlap between Sabrina’s Greendale and Riverdale. Kiernan Shipka is playing Sabrina, and Ross Lynch (#TBT Austin & Ally) as Harvey Kinkle. KJ vs. Ross Lynch? Legendary. If you’re not excited, well, you should be.

A Million Little Things- September 26th

“Friendship isn’t one big thing, it’s a million little things.” There isn’t a proper word for the feeling we have about watching the premiere of A Million Little Things. It appears to be geared towards a similar audience as “This Is Us.” Rather than surrounding a family, this shows follows a group of friends who come together after an unexpected loss. After the tragic suicides over the years,  and series of high profile overdoses, it will be interesting to see how this series takes on such intense & serious issues. The show seems like a tearjerker, but will the waterworks be well shed? You’ll have to cry for yourself to find out.

This is Us- September 25th, NBSC

If you watched Parenthood, you can relate to the void that has been left in your heart. Which is what helped This is Us to captivate (and emotionally mess with) the lives of people everywhere. If you haven’t watched since day one, don’t worry, no spoilers here. This is Us follows the lives of three kids and their two parents. Most episodes consists of flashbacks to show us how they got to the present. The characters will come alive, and although, sometimes boring, you feel connected and loyal. If Randall doesn’t make you want to watch, then Jack will.

Whether you’d categorize these shows as “worthy” is up to you. But for us, it’s a no brainer (cue DJ Khaled). Tbh, the best part of watching these shows is just having something to look forward to and a designated time to bond with your besties. Plus, the casts aren’t too bad either…
