Hopefully if you’re reading this it means you have a couple minutes of downtime and are enjoying catching up with the internet, or the outside world and well….anything besides homework that you’re stressing about. However, when that time to get productive comes around again, I have some great spots for you to check out to make homework a little less dreadful.

Something that has been a definite change in my life would be my coffee habits. Wherever you lie on the spectrum of coffee drinking, whether that be just a half cup to wake you up in the morning, or many cups to get you through the day, here are some awesome spots around the Simmons College area. Simmons is in a prime location, a short walk away from the busy Newbury Street, right in the Fenway/ Longwood Medical Area and, of course, a second away from Kenmore. However, the issue with being right alongside many other colleges and businesses is the fact that a seat in a coffee shop is the most prime real estate in the city. During my time at Simmons I’ve noticed that going and getting coffee, setting aside time to get productive and stepping away from school out into Boston has really become an experience I look forward to. There’s something about it all, the scent of coffee beans in the air and crossing things out on your to do list go hand and hand. So, as finals season comes around and college students plan their returns home, here are some places to study and take in the city all at once.
