Why: If you’re looking for something new to do with friends or you want to challenge yourself all while having a great time, try The Edge Halfmoon! It’s the biggest rock climbing gym in the Capital District and they even give discounts to college students on Wednesday nights and women on Monday nights!

About 30 minutes away from Siena
When: Open year round, 7am- sundown
Why: Stressed out or need a break from doing work? Thacher Park has some of the most beautiful and scenic views in the Capital District! Be sure to take the Indian Ladder Trail where you’ll be sure to see the Minelot Falls waterfall. They also have campsites for those who want to go camping and in the winter, Thacher Park is a great place to go cross-country skiing!

Why: Tired of the food at Saga? Try a local farmer’s market! The Schenectady Greenmarket is just one of many farmer’s markets in the Capital District where you can find fresh produce, baked goods, and handmade crafts. All vendors are local and the best part is that it’s open year round!
