You’re My Cup of… Coffee

By: Bailey Albert

Mm, coffee. Does it not just make your heart smile, your brain feel energized, and your soul happy? I’m simply getting excited just thinking about it!

“But why?” is what some of you non-coffee lovers might be asking. Why do people become so addicted to this beverage? After doing some research, I have listed below the top five reasons why people SHOULD love coffee!

Top 5 Reasons Why Coffee is good for you!

  1. Coffee boosts up your energy levels and the caffeine can increase brain function
  2. Coffee can lead to a happy life! Studies found coffee-drinking women are 20% less likely to suffer from depression.
  3. You know all those fruits and veggies you should be eating? Research shows that coffee to be the primary source of antioxidants.
  4. Standard black coffee has around 2 calories without sugar and cream. If you like your coffee sweeter, use Splenda and light, natural creamer!
  5. The aroma of coffee can make you feel fresh even when you’re worn out or sleep-deprived.

Not only are these super awesome benefits for your health, but there are tons of ways to take and make your coffee! Hopefully I persuaded some minds and you see coffee in a better light!

I'm Nicole! Nikki, Nic, anything you want to call me really. I'm from south-eastern Pennsylvania and I love life and beauty. Whenever I'm not writing or taking pictures for my blogs or social media accounts, you can find me (hopefully) at the beach surfing, traveling, making new friends and seeing new places. I'm in love with people I've never met and places I've never been to. I am currently a Senior (!!!) at Shippensburg University, majoring in Communications Journalism (focusing in Public Relations) and minoring in Psychology. I would love to work for a PR firm with advertising, event planning and perhaps a chance to travel. Thanks for reading!! - Nicole
